2017 Annual Meeting

The United States Life-Saving Service Heritage Association 2017 conference will feature visits to Fort Point Life-Saving and Lifeboat Station, the former Southside LSS site and the former site of the Golden Gate Park Life-Saving Station, and it’s current location nearby. We will bus to the Hyde Street Pier, where we will get glimpses of the 1907 tugboat Hercules and the schooner C.A.Thayer.
Friday we travel to Point Reyes National Seashore to see the CG36542 Motor Lifeboat housed in a Chatham type boathouse with recently upgraded marine railway. Navigate the 308-foot staircase to visit the magnificent First Order Fresnel lens in the Point Reyes Lighthouse.
We will visit the Point Bonita Lighthouse and the remains of various structures of the former station at Point Bonita. Our last visit of the conference will be CG Station Golden Gate.
