The Cape Lookout Station House was built in 1887
This 1882 Station House was designed by J. Lake Parkinson
Station closed in 1982. Station house was sold as in 1957 and moved by its owner to its current location. It is now owned by the National Park Service but is not used.
Station house was a private residence with a 25-year use and occupancy lease from the National Park Service, which has expired. Future use had not been determined.
