The Oak Island Station House was built in 1872 (with 1887 addition)
This Red House w/1887-88 Alts Station House was designed by USLSS (with Albert B. Bibb Addition)
Station house was moved to its present location in the early 1930s while still active. It was closed in 1937 but was reactivated during World War II. Transferred to the town of Babylon ca 1947. Station house survives and is the Oak Beach Community Center.
