The Block Island Station Site site was established in 1937 (at this site, 1873 at original site)
Station still active at this site. 1937 station house survives and is a seasonal (small) station under Station Point Judith.

1872 site selected and in the process of construction; 1873 completed and equipped 1/1873; 1886 reconstructed and enlarged (USLSS Annual Reports). First keeper appointed 12/12/1872 (USCG Historian's Website). Operated only as a seasonal detachment from Station Point Judith since 1986.
