The Coskata Station Site site was established in 1883
Station closed in 1944? and abandoned in 1953. Station buildings survive but were moved to Brant Point Station in 1947.
Station Site Notes:
1883 completed; 1893 repairs and improvements; in 1933 PWA funds used to rebuild station buildings (USLSS Annual Reports). First keepers appointed 11/14/1883; station still listed as active in 1940, but does not appear on records in 1945; abandoned in 1953 (USCG Historian's Website). 1933 station house moved by barge to become USCG Station Brant Point in July 1947.
