Station closed in 1921 and station house passed to private ownership. Station house was destroyed by fire ca. 1965. Station site now part of Assateague Island National Seashore.

Station Site Notes:

1874 contract; 1875 erected; 1879 hurricane damage repaired; 1884 enlargement and improvements?; 1885 completed? (USLSS Annual Reports). Discontinued in 1939 (USCG Historian's Website).
