The Jerrys Point Station Site site was established in 1887
Station closed in 1908 and replaced by Station Portsmouth Harbor. Property reclaimed by the military as part of Fort Stark in 1908 and used as a barracks. No station buildings are known to survive at this site.
Station Site Notes:
1882 site selected and title secured; 1885 preparations for construction; 1887 in the process of construction; 1888 put into operation; 1907 property reclaimed by the military and station abandoned. Operations being conducted from rented buildings; 1908 replaced by Portsmouth Harbor Station (USLSS Annual Reports). First keeper appointed 12/20/1887 (USCG Historian's Website).
