The Michigan City Station Site site was established in 1889
Station still active. 1988 station house survives. 1899 station house does not survive.

1883 site selected; 1888 under contract for construction, to be put into operation before end of fiscal year; 1889 completed and put into operation; 1911 repairs not yet completed; 1912 work completed (USLSS Annual Reports). Station was opened in April of 1889 (USCG Historian's Website).
