Station closed in 1937 and abandoned in 1947. 1874 station house survives but was moved off site to Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT in 1968 and restored as museum exhibit.

Station Site Notes:

1873 arrangements being made for construction; 1874 erected; 1887 rebuilding; 1888 rebuilding completed; 1921 contract awarded for repairs and remodeling of station building; 1922 work completed? (at 22 stations) (USLSS Annual Reports). First keeper appointed 9/2/1871(?) [1874?]; listed as inactive in 1938 and abandoned in 1947 (USCG Historian's Website).
