The Virginia Beach Station Site site was established in 1878
Station closed on January 15, 1969. 1903 station house survives and is the Old Coast Guard Station, a museum.
Station Site Notes:
1878 will soon be in operation (1882/83?); 1885 additions and repairs; 1902 old station has become unsuitable for occupancy and is being replaced by new one; 1903 new station completed (USLSS Annual Reports).
