Evanston Station House

The Evanston Station House was built in 1877
This One-of-a-Kind Station House was designed by J. Lake Parkinson
Station closed on 8 June 1931 and was replaced by Station Wilmette Harbor. Station house was heavily damaged by a storm in March 1929 and was closed two years later. Station house was turned over to Northwestern University for use as offices and classrooms until 1954 when it was torn down.
