Station Site Notes:

Station Noyo River was established as one of the USCG's Surf Stations in 1994. Prior to that it was a unique Co-Search and Rescue Facility. The 82' patrol boat USCG Cutter Point Ledge was home ported here with a 44' Motor Lifeboat attached. The normal 10 person 82' crew was supplemented by 5 extra people. The would run Search and Rescue as well as the normal duties of the 82'. Throughout the years the moorings changed from the original spot down the river to its current location. In 1994 the cutter was taken out and the current station was established Over the years the station was expanded, with its most recent addition being completed in 2006 (Station crew member).
