The Ocean City Station House was built in 1891 (at 1st site)
This 1882 Station House was designed by J. Lake Parkinson
Station closed in 1962 at this site and moved to a new location. Site turned over to GSA in 1964. Station house survives but was moved to a new location in 1977 and is the Life-Saving Station Museum.
After the station was closed the station house was abandoned and fell into disrepair. In 1977 the Ocean City Museum Society was formed to move the station house to its current location and restore it. It opened as a museum in 1978.
